Hailing from A Coruña, Galicia, Javier Sanchez is a Telecommunications Engineering graduate from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. After joining Stack AI through The Exponential Fellowship, Javier has taken the leap into entrepreneurship, founding Rebolt and successfully going through Y Combinator. His journey reflects a deep commitment to leveraging technology for impactful solutions, building on experience from previous roles at Canonical and Ericsson. Computer Science • University of Sevilla

Nicolás de Ory Carmona is an Exponential Fellow and Engineer at Caspian. Originally from Sevilla, Spain, he studied Software Engineering at the University of Seville and gained experience in backend development, AI, and distributed systems. Before joining Caspian, Nicolás worked on high-scale infrastructure and product development at Homa, PlayPlay, and research groups in Spain and France. Now, in San Francisco, he’s helping build cutting-edge AI solutions to automate and streamline global trade operations.

Industrial Engineering • Politechnical University of Madrid

Santiago joined Concourse, a startup building AI agents for corporate finance teams, as a Founding AI/ML Engineer. Originally from Padrón, Galicia, he studied Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and earned a Master’s in Big Data Technologies and Data Science from ICAI. Before joining Concourse, Santiago was a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Clarity AI, where he built AI-powered financial analysis tools and data extraction systems, driving millions in cost savings. He has also worked at Banco Sabadell, KPMG, and as a Top Rated AI Engineer on Upwork, delivering generative AI and ML solutions for early-stage startups. As with our other Galician Fellows, his move is supported by Fundación Barrié, and we’re excited to see him shape the future of AI in finance.

Biomed • Glasgow and Columbia

Sofia is a biomedical engineer specializing in machine learning and bioelectronics. She has conducted research at Columbia University, Cambridge, and GSK, focusing on next-generation diagnostics and biosensing. Now, she is joining Pumpkinseed, a stealth biotech startup in Palo Alto.
